Beginners Staff Course

Service Description

All throughout history, the staff has been used as a weapon from the cavemen to the highlanders to the French Military. And there's a reason people have kept using them even as technology has advanced - they make for a very good weapon! It's versatile, easy to get a hold of and deals a surprising amount of damage. Through this six week course, we will familiarise you with the staff as a method of defence while building your coordination and confidence with the weapon. You will learn how to strike and how to keep yourself safe using the staff as a whole. Using the staff is a great full body workout and for anyone with a competitive flair, you will be invited to take part in a friendly in house tournament on the final week. The course will be taught by Ben and Victoria who together have over 10yrs experience so you know you're in good hands! Our course will take place at our venue: 113th Burnside Scout Hall, 3 Crawfurd Rd, Rutherglen, Glasgow, G73 4JB Please note the minimum age for this class is 18.
